16/08/2012: Email from Laurie Pasco, Ranger Gosford Area
Hi Helen,
Thank you for your enquiry.
The site known locally as the hieroglyphs are
completely contained within Brisbane Water National Park.
Bambara Road, will continue to be accessible to the
public, however, the gate will remain at its current location to assist in
controlling unauthorised vehicular access.
If you would like any further information, please
feel free to give me a call.
Kind Regards,
Laurie Pasco

Dear Sir,
Our association over the past few years has been
asked to be involved in “save the hieroglyphs” at Bambara Road, Kariong.
Our question is?
1. Are the Hieroglyphs on private land or embedded in the Brisbane Water
National Park.
If they are embedded in the national park, when the sale of private land
is concluded at Bambara Road, Kariong, is Bambara Road still to be
considered a public road as a access thoroughfare to the Hieroglyphs site.
